Newport, Vermont Taxiway and Airport Expansion
In 2016, Casella Construction was awarded its first $10 million dollar job—the Newport, VT Airport Expansion by the Vermont Agency of Transportation.The project was completed in October of 2016. This project involved demolishing all the existing taxiways and installing a 5,650 linear foot taxiway parallel to the main runway, 1,750 linear feet of stub taxiway, and 45 acres of safety area grading. Three drainage basins, 33 drainage structures, 18,000 lf of underdrain, and 7,600 lf of reinforced concrete pipe were also installed. To learn more about this project click here.
